This module will look at the main features of Islamic criminal law in the major Islamic schools of jurisprudence. In addition to the study of hudud and tazirat it will examine judicial procedures and conditions and liabilities of witnesses in Islamic courts. It would further acquaint the students with major Arabic texts in this field.
